MSC has launched a new ocean-rail intermodal service linking Asia and Europe. Services for intermodal transportation of cargo from Japan, China, South Korea and other countries to various parts of Europe are already provided by AP Moller-Maersk and other companies. As for land transportation in Russia, the service will be similar to the "AE19" service already provided by AP Moller-Maersk, connecting Vostochny and other cities in the Far East to St. Petersburg in the west by rail. From St. Petersburg, feeder ships will transport the cargo by sea to the company's major hubs, including Antwerp in Belgium, Bremerhaven in Germany, Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and Le Havre in France.
