Mitsui O.S.K. Lines to Consolidate Three Dry Bulk Shipping Businesses into New Company

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) will consolidate its tramp shipping business, woodchip shipping business, and Panamax business (except for the steel industry and domestic electric power supply) into MOL Dry Bulk, which will take over the businesses through a corporate split on April 1, 2022. MOL Dry Bulk operates a total of 200 vessels of various types and sizes, including bulk carriers with deadweight capacities ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 tons, wood chip carriers, and multipurpose vessels. The company has been preparing to become a one-stop service provider for a wide range of vessel types.
