According to the nationwide international air cargo handling volume (official report) for January-June 2021 released by the Customs and Tariff Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, the total volume handled by all domestic airports was 1,931,631 tons (+27.4% year-on-year). The export volume recovered, mainly at Narita Airport, and exceeded the level of 2019 before the spread of the new corona infection.
